I have been in the automotive industry for over 20+ years, so I am very critical of facilities such as these. However, I have to say that this is the most impressed I have ever been of any service facility that I have ever worked at or visited. There is simply not a single bad thing I could say about the staff, service, follow up or competency. Keep in mind this is after multiple visits ranging from routine maintenance to a recent breakdown, so our relationship is past the honeymoon phase. Hats off to these guys. Oh, and as far as integrity and pricing; as nieve as she was, I would send my late mother (God rest her soul) by herself to this place and trust that she would not be taken advantage of.

Vince and the crew at River Oaks Automotive Center have been taking care of my vehicles for the past few years. I recently purchased a modern classic that needed a few mechanical repairs and some deferred maintenance taken care of. Vince was able to get the vehicle back to me quicker than promised and helped source some parts at a lower cost. A few months later I took the vehicle back for some rust repair and paint work. The repairs for the rust and sheet metal are undetectable and the vehicle looks like it did the day it rolled out the factory. They were able to match the original paint which is now 25 years old perfectly. I've been impressed with everything including how well I've been treated. I have no problem recommending River Oaks Automotive and already have to several fellow classic car owners.

They take reservations for state inspections which is great. I've got a nice car and a lot of places pretend they have to drive my car around town to do the inspection but these guys were much more professional. I overheard the manager talking to customers trying to solve difficult problems and it gave me a lot of confidence in trusting them to do more repairs and not just inspections. Seems like a good, customer focused and trustworthy shop.

Highly recommend!!! They have a drop box where you can drop your car off at 5pm which is very convenient. I dropped my car off and they had it ready the very next day. They even went above and beyond and fixed my broken car key, which I was extremely thankful for. OH, AND THEY ACCEPT CARSHIELD! Update: I took my vehicle back because I had a check engine light on and, again, they fixed it the very same day and had it ready, THE SAME DAY!!! (Catalytic converter)

I've been calling around to get a estimate to change all my motor mounts and 1 transmission mount based on the recommendation from the Toyota Dealership. I call several auto shops in the area, none of them would to give me estimate without seeing the vehicle. River Oak Automotive was the only company that took the time to give me a estimate over the phone even went the extra mile to verify my vehicle engine size by getting my license plate. (Grant I'm aware estimates can shift when vehicle goes through diagnostic and/or other issues are seen at the time vehicle is at the shop) First impression are everything!!!! Thank you for taking the time to give me estimate. Once I get my vehicle back from the dealership, I will be getting my service completed at this location.

The best place in central Houston for car maintenance. Vincent is the man! They tell you, up front, what they think is wrong and the cost to fix it. If there's any deviation from that assessment they'll call you and explain. There aren't any surprises here. And I've never once, in 10 years, had to return my car to have something repaired that should have been fixed.

Smooth like butter! (I really sang this driving out of the parking lot. The difference you feel in your car before and after maintenance!) Hadn't been driving my car around too much during Covid and needed an oil change. Johnny did a great job and my old little car feels great now when driving. The reviews here on Google for an automative shop are pretty great. Definitely will be my go-to place now. Vince was really helpful explaining what would happen with the oil change and a brake check. I wasn't upsold on anything and I trust this shop would take care of my car the next time I go back. I also was wearing a mask due to health issues (no Covid symptoms just pre-existing health.) No one else was wearing a mask (which was completely fine) and no one gave me any rude comments about it either. I appreciate the professionalism on the auto service as well as the personal respect on my decision to mask up. I definitely recommend River Oaks Automotive Center to handle your car!

I was here in my Hometown (visiting) and noticed that I started to smell gasoline when my 2009 Honda Fit was idling. My father recommended that I bring the car to River Oaks Automotive Center as he had been there before and it was closest to my grandmother's condo. I dropped off my car and the team went to work checking all hoses in the fuel system, spark plugs, the seal on the gas tank and everything else in the fuel system. They went above and beyond and completed a complimentary service too for me and the smell dissapeared. This was a big help for me and I am so grateful to them! The nicest, most honest group I have every met. A/C blows very cold!!!!!! They knew that my truck needed several pounds of Freon, where the other place just put in 2- 12 oz cans and told me that I needed a new A/C unit which would cost well over $1,000.

We'd been having intermittent trouble with our a/c, and our local auto repair shop had been unable to diagnose the problem. We came to Houston for a weekend away, and the a/c went out again(in August!), so we brought our car in to River Oaks to see if they could just do something temporary to get us home comfortably. Not only did they diagnose the underlying problem, but they told us what needed to be done to fix it once we got home. They were fast, very knowledgeable, didn't overcharge us, and went out of their way to help us, even though we aren't local. Fantastic experience!

Went here for an auto claim and some other imperfections with my car. My car had to stay a few days at their shop and they provided me with transportation to the rental car company.
